Glow With Mei

A couple of months ago, Innisfree launched a new wash off masks line called Real Wash Off masks.
They came up with 4 kinds of wash off masks:

- Real Peppermint :
          - Soothing and Refreshing
          - Hydrating and sebum controlling

- Real Grapefruit : Scrub & wash-off type.
          - For clear and brilliant skin
          - Exfoliating effect

- Real Rose : For Soft and glowing skin
          - Heating effect
          - Hydrating texture

- Real Quinoa : Nourishing and exfoliating

And since I love this brand, I couldn't not get a couple of them: the rose one since I really love rose products, and Quinoa since I was really curious about it (read my review here)
So here is what I think about this one:

Description and claims:

- A refreshing finish from fresh, natural ingredients
- Sweet rose formula for moist, transparent skin
- Gives skin warmth with a jelly-like, moisturizing texture.
- Refreshes skin with a delicate natural fragrance while applying this mask.

Volume: 150 ml

Ingredients:

GLYCERIN, WATER, DIGLYCERIN, ALCOHOL, CETEARYL OLIVATE, SORBITAN OLIVATE, ROSA GALLICA FLOWER POWDER, CARBOMER,CITRIC ACID, PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS FLOWER OIL, TROMETHAMINE, ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER WATER, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, DEXTRIN, THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) EXTRACT, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, PHENOXYETHANOL

Like every other innisfree product, this contains many natural ingredients. You can check the Cosdna analytics here

How to use:

After a facial wash, spread an adequate amount over a clean and dry face, away from the eyes and mouth. Massage for about 1~2 minutes as to feel the heat and after 10~15 minutes, rinse using lukewarm water. (Recommended use: 3~4 times a week)

Packaging: 9/10

Just like the other real wash off masks, this one comes in a dark semi transparent jar with a silver twist-off cap, and a protective transparent plastic lid. There is no spatula though so it might bother some of you.

Scent: 10/10

Unlike the quinoa mask, this one smells like heaven ♥_♥. In addition to their many benefits, I adore how rose products smell.
One thing to keep in mind, when you start massaging this mask into your skin, its scent changes to a more medicinal one (a mixture between flu sticks and some anti inflammatory massage salve my dad used to use)

Texture: 9/10

It looks like a jelly with some supposedly rose bits in it (not sure), but once you start massaging it, it feels really thick like a massaging salve/ointment (it just keeps reminding me of it).

The effects: 10/10

After cleansing, I used this mask over a dry face, massaged it a little until it became kinda white and then left it on. I expected it to heat (like really heat) but it barely warmed up. After washing it off, my skin felt the smoothest it has ever been I unconsciously kept touching my face the whole evening.
Its effects last for a couple of days only (too bad), but I guess this is why they said to use it 3-4 times a week. But after using it frequently, I actually noticed that my skin became more bright and glowy. I love it.

Do I recommend it?

Yes. Absolutely.

From where did I get mine?

Innisfree Real Mask retails for $12.09 at Ibuybueauti and is available in 4 different "flavors".

When it comes to skin care, Cosrx, Klairs and innisfree are my favorite brands, so when I heard about Innisfree's newly launched Real Wash Off masks, I knew that I had to try them.

They came up with 4 kinds of wash off masks:

- Real Peppermint :
          - Soothing and Refreshing
          - Hydrating and sebum controlling

- Real Grapefruit : Scrub & wash-off type.
          - For clear and brilliant skin
          - Exfoliating effect

- Real Rose : For Soft and glowing skin
          - Heating effect
          - Hydrating texture

- Real Quinoa : Nourishing and exfoliating

So I decided to pick two of them: The rose one (I love rose products so that was a pretty obvious choice), I heard that the peppermint one is a bit too drying and since my skin becomes super dry during winter, I didn't picked it up. So what's left was the grapefruit and the quinoa ones, they kinda have the same effects but since I need nutrition more than brightness, and I have never tried a quinoa product before, I choose the real quinoa mask hoping I wouldn't be disappointed..

And today, I'm gonna review the Quinoa one since there were many people that are curious about, so here is what I thought about it:

Description and claims:

- A refreshing finish from fresh, natural ingredients
- Abundant nutritional formula for resilient skin
- Resilient texture with the sizzle of grain
- Refreshes skin with a delicate natural fragrance while applying this mask.

Volume: 150 ml

Ingredients:

WATER, AVENA SATIVA (OAT) BRAN, GLYCERIN, METHYLPROPANEDIOL, CELLULOSE, ALCOHOL, BETAINE, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CHENOPODIUM QUINOA SEED EXTRACT, MAGNESIUM ALUMINUM SILICATE, CARBOMER, TROMETHAMINE, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, SALVIA HISPANICA SEED EXTRACT, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, HOUTTUYNIA CORDATA EXTRACT, XANTHAN GUM, DEHYDROXANTHAN GUM,PROPANEDIOL, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) PEEL OIL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, FRUCTOOLIGOSACCHARIDES, SACCHARIDE HYDROLYSATE, DISODIUM EDTA, PULLULAN, CITRUS PARADISI (GRAPEFRUIT) PEEL OIL, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, ALLANTOIN, CITRUS AURANTIUM BERGAMIA (BERGAMOT) FRUIT OIL, CUPRESSUS SEMPERVIRENS LEAF/NUT/STEM OIL, LITSEA CUBEBA FRUIT OIL, CITRUS LIMON (LEMON) PEEL OIL, LAVANDULA HYBRIDA OIL, CITRUS MEDICA VULGARIS PEEL OIL, PINUS SYLVESTRIS LEAF OIL, PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS FLOWER OIL, ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS (ROSEMARY) LEAF OIL, MYRISTICA FRAGRANS (NUTMEG) KERNEL OIL, ZINGIBER OFFICINALE (GINGER) ROOT OIL , THYMUS VULGARIS (THYME) FLOWER/LEAF OIL, MENTHA VIRIDIS (SPEARMINT) LEAF OIL, EUGENIA CARYOPHYLLUS (CLOVE) LEAF OIL, ANTHEMIS NOBILIS FLOWER OIL, PHENOXYETHANOL

Like every other innisfree product, this contains many natural ingredients. You can check the Cosdna analytics here

How to use:

After a facial wash, spread an adequate amount over a clean and dry face, away from the eyes and mouth. After 5~10 minutes, cleanse using lukewarm water. (Recommended use: once ~ twice a week)

Packaging: 9/10

The packaging is similar to the Innisfree Jeju Super Volcanic Pore Clay mask (you can check my quick review here) The only difference is that this one comes in a semi-transparent jar with a silver twist-off cap, but they both come with a protective transparent plastic lid.
It doesn't come with a spatula so it might bother some of your.

Scent: 0/10

This smell H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E. I don't know if Quinoa naturally smells that awful since it's my first time using anything with quinoa in it, but this product's scent is a huuuuge turn off. I doesn't even fade so I couldn't keep the mask on my face more than a couple of minutes otherwise I was going to vomit.

Texture: 9/10

it has a gel like consistency with some few fine granules that look like crashed seeds in it. It's nothing too dramatic so you would barely feel the scrubbing.

The performance: 9/10

After cleansing, I used this mask over a dry face, massaged it a little and then left it (a couple of minutes since the scent was too strong and unpleasant to keep it on for 5-10min) and then I massaged my face again (more like rubbed it). I barely felt its particles doing anything to my face but it surprisingly did a nice job exfoliating my skin. after washing it off my skin was smooth and soft and looked healthier and more hydrated, so I think it would have given me better results if I left if for a longer time. I've used it once only there was no amazing long term results but it has nice short term effects (I will update you later if I ever notice any spectacular long term results ^^)

Do I recommend it?

Umm.. If you don't have a problem with strong scents or are used to Quinoa's smell, then I absolutely recommend it, if not, then this mask probably isn't for you.

From where did I get mine?
It retails for 16 $ on innisfreeworld

The scent:
It has a light fresh smell, that fades few seconds after applying it.

The performance:
This product is one of those love-or-hate type of product, many people love it and even swear by it, while just as many people dislike it. So which team am I?
Before answering this question, lemme first answer a question that almost everybody is asking: what makes this 10in1 version any different than the previous one?
I personally have never tried the 7in1 version, so I can't really answer based on my personal experience, but by comparing the ingredients (you can find the previous version's ingredients here), I can tell that they are pretty similar, sure some ingredients' order has changed which means the concentration has changed too (for example, the Alcohol became 2nd instead of 3rd, which means the new version has a higher alcohol concentration), but they are still similar, which means, if you loved the previous version you would most likely love this one as well, and if you disliked it, I don't think there is anything that would change your mind about it, much more if the reason you disliked it in the first place is alcohol.

And now, lemme answer this question: did he do me wonders like it claims? Well unfortunately no. I'm not saying that I dislike it since it is a good toner, but that's all it is. It does moisturize my skin and leave it less tight, and also helps the other products get absorbed easily, it also softens my skin and removes any excess sebum (I rarely have), but it doesn't in any way deep cleanse my pores or make them less visible  or anything else it claims, but I repeat, it is a good toner.

Summary
Pros:
- Didn't break me out (but it might break me out sometime later due to the +/- high alcohol concentration)
- Fresh smell
- Good toner
- Moisturizing

Cons:
- Alcohol (if you are alcohol intolerant or have an extremely dry skin, I don't think it would work for you... )
- It isn't as wonderful as they make it sound..

Would I repurchase it?
I don't think so. Don't get me wrong it is a good toner but it just didn't reach all those high expectations that were built after reading all those reviews. Maybe it just didn't work for me but would work for you. So for now, I'll keep using it for sure but once I'm out of it, I'll rather try some new toners.

Where can you buy it?

Hey cupcakes!
In my last Wishtrend Haul (here), I purchased many skincare products, and today I'm gonna review one of them: COSRX Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser.

Description and claims:

A Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser that reduces acne breakouts and promotes clearer skin. Clear skin begins with COSRX.

Volume: 150 ml

Ingredients:

Glycerin, Water, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Peg-32, Cocamidopropyl Betaine Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyquaternium-7, Lauramide Dea, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Polysorbate 60, Peg-100 Stearate, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cellulose Gum, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Disodium Edta

How to use:

1) Apply adequate amount of cleanser on a wet palm, gently make foam before applying on your face.
2) Massage the T-zone area where blackheads, whiteheads and excessive oil are easily formed.
3) Wash it off with lukewarm water for 3~4 times and splash the cold water to tighten up pores.

Packaging:

The scent:

it smells like a mixture of medical herbs, and somehow reminds me of flu medicines lol.

The performance:

The cleansrr's consistency is a bit similar to whisked egg whites (without sugar) one, tiny air bubbles and all.

As claimed, this cleanser does reduce blackheads, whiteheads, excessive sebum and tightens the pores, which would be awesome if I had oily skin, but,  I have a dry/dehydrated skin, which means this cleanser a bit rough for me ==> another product to pass to my brother.

Most cleansers that claim to have exfoliating properties does nothing near exfoliating, that's why I wasn't honestly expecting much from this cleaser, but I was really surprised when my dead cells started peeling, that's why I decided using it as an exfoliator once a week instead of a daily cleanser.

Summary
Pros:
- Affordable price.
- Works amazinglyas an exfoliator
- Hygienic tube.
- Reduces blackheads, whiteheads and breakouts.
- Helps healing active acne fast.
- Tightens pores.

Cons:
- A little bit too drying for my already dry skin
- High pH
- The scent is a bit...

Would I repurchase it?
Probably would repurchase it for my brother. or use it as an exfoliator (my skin needs lots of exfoliation so yeah)

Where can you buy it?

- Amazon for $10.99
- StyleKorean for $6.99
