If you are into Asian beauty, washing your face with a powder wouldn't be a weird concept for you, but if you aren't, you would be probably wondering how can something that closely resembles powder laundry detergents work for your face, well, all you have to do is read this review to find out how I personally feel about one of the many Enzyme Powder Face Washes and the latest to be launched I believe: By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash

Description and claims:
This is a cleansing powder formulated with green tea powder, papain enzymes and baking powder. it maintains proprer pH balance of the skin so as to prevent irritation or dryness after cleansing. Green tea powder and baking soda act as an exfoliator, removing all of the skin's impurities.

How to use:
Dispense a small amount into the palm of your hand (or onto your cleansing tool), add water before  you lather it up. Gently massage it over your face and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.

Scent and texture:

It's a semi fine powder that smells like dried green tea leaves or matcha, and lathers nicely when mixed with water and rubbed with your hands/your cleansing tool.
I think that this would make it last longer, and makes it travel friendly since liquid soaps tend to get all over the place when u put them inside your luggage, but still I honestly prefer the liquid ones for daily use. But who knows, I might get used to this form of cleansers and ditch all of my liquid cleansers.


The performance:

Whether you’re using your hands, a sponge, a cleansing brush or any other cleansing tool to cleanse your face, you’ll only need a small amount of powder to cleanse your face, but making a decent foam can be a little tricky since by adding too much or too little water, it probably won't foam (I had to use it 6 times before I learned what amount of water was just enough lol)
The first time I used it, I decided to test the pH to verify the company's claims, turns out that this cleanser's pH is actually 5.5, which is perfect for me, but still I was quite hesitant since the powdery consistency makes me think of powder laundry detergents, that usually leave an unpleasant residue on my hands, and dries them out. And since I have a dehydrated skin, stripping my skin out of its few natural oils is the last thing I need.
So after using it, I was surprised that it cleansed my skin thoroughly without leaving any residue, nor making my skin feel unnecessarily too tight, and I was left with a fresh clean face.
After using this product for more few times (about 2 weeks?), I felt my skin becoming softer and silkier than it used to be, so I think that the baking soda and the papain - a mild exfoliating enzyme derived from papaya- that this enzyme powder cleanser contains are doing their job. I also noticed that my redness is more under control, and my pores are getting smaller and almost non visible (maybe it's because the weather is getting colder? dunno, I'll have to try this product on someone with larger pores and update you guys.)
I think I'm gonna continue using this cleanser for now (since I'm out of my fav cleanser for now anyways) to see if I'm gonna love it more or discover any downsides later. I'm actually expecting it to make my skin softer as the times goes by, and ameliorate my skin moisture barrier. Summary


Pros:

- Travel friendly, you can put a little amount in a small bottle and keep it in your travel bag without worrying about it getting all over the place.
- Cleanses without stripping the skin from its moisture.
- No residue left
- Faint scent
- Calms down my skin
- Makes my skin softer and smoother


Cons:

- It's a little difficult to control the amount of powder you dispense.
- The bottle is a little too big for the amount of product there is inside.
- It can be a little tricky when adding water, too much or too little water and it wouldn't foam.



Would I repurchase it?

Maybe. I wanna try some other enzyme powder face washes and decide later. But I'm definitely gonna use this up until the last drop (granule I mean)
